Expectations

  • Be on time to class. If you are not in your seat and working at the start of class, you will be marked as tardy.
  • Be polite and respect everyone in the room.
  • Do not leave the classroom without permission.
  • Stay in your seats unless directed to do otherwise.
  • I will dismiss you at the end of the period, not the clock.
  • Your completed, teacher-initialed Student Handbook is your hall pass. Each student will be allowed a maximum of 3 passes per quarter.
  • Do not take any pen, papers, etc…off my desk or tables without permission.
  • When I am talking in class, I expect your full attention and respect. I will return this courtesy to you.
  • There are no CD players, cell phones, or other electronic devices allowed in my classroom. If seen, they will be turned in to an administrator.
  • No food or drink in the classroom. Water is allowed unless students abuse this privilege by leaving a mess.
  • All students must follow the school dress code policy.
  • All book bags and backpacks must be kept in your locker.

Consequences

  • A verbal warning will be given.
  • Conference with student (formal or informal).
  • A phone call will be made to parents.
  • A referral to the office and/or removal from class.
